Spring is finally here! This season represents rebirth, renewal, and growth. It’s a time to welcome longer days and more sunshine. Even the most interesting workout routine can get a little stale, and the change in seasons is also a great time to rejuvenate a tired routine and integrate new activities into your workouts, revisit your goals, and revise your exercise plan.
Reduce boredom and increase motivation to workout with the tips below to spring clean your fitness routine!
Ditch The Ineffective Workouts
If working out in the early hours of the morning or trying the new trend at the gym is not working out for you, it is time to let it go. Not every workout or routine you try will work, and there is no reason to force yourself to do something that doesn’t feel comfortable. Instead, look for new ways to exercise and recommit to your workouts this spring!
Set New Goals
Maybe you’ve set some fitness goals as your New Year’s resolution. The spring is a great time to revisit and think about all that you have accomplished, as well as the goals you have been unable to achieve. Are these goals still important to you? If not, it’s a good time to create some new ones. Often, as we try new activities, what may have seemed important at the beginning may no longer be a priority. Set new goals based on the activities you enjoy.
Create A New Workout Playlist
Just like doing the same workout over and over again can get boring, listening to the same playlist over and over can actually take away from your workout. Create a playlist of fresh songs that motivate you, inspire you, or just make you feel good. Music is so powerful in changing our moods and can have a significant influence on your workout — crush your fitness goals while listening to songs that pump you up and motivate you to keep going when it starts to get tough.
Try Something New
Doing the same workouts over and over again can not only become incredibly boring, but it can also derail your workout and make it less effective. If your workout routine has become boring, switch things up and try something new.
